The role primarily involves transactional tax work, collaborating closely with securities and finance lawyers, alongside engagement with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials across the nation. Duties:Provide legal guidance on transactional tax matters, including structuring and planning.Conduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and case precedents.Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documents, agreements, and contracts.Develop and execute tax strategies tailored to client objectives and needs.Represent clients in tax-related negotiations, audits, and disputes. Requirements:Admission to the California State Bar.5-8 years of experience in tax law practice.Strong understanding of transactional tax matters and associated legal principles.Experience in tax issues related to public finance, tax-exempt organizations, or similar areas preferred. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar. Skills:Proficiency in tax laws and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting.
