CareWell Urgent Care , an Emergence Health Holdings organization, is building a team of professionals dedicated to meeting all the needs of the community, from infant to elders, school to industry and everywhere in between. CareWell Urgent Care is a patient focused organization with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Founded by physicians who know and understand the need for excellent, expedient care. Our telemedicine team is growing as we expand to include patient in Massachusetts. We are seeking an experienced MA to join team. Full-time employees must be able to work three 12-hours shifts per week including every other weekend. A typical day in the life of a Telemedicine Medical Assistant, includes: Conduct assessment of patient based off reason for virtual visit Provide assessment to provider before passing patient off to be seen by the provider. Coordinate patient care or records with other center locations when necessary. Instruct and educate patients about their own concerns, discharge paperwork or other questions as appropriate for position. Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and employers. Maintain patient records for clinical, physician and billing use. Education & Experience: 1 or more years of customer service experience. 1-3 years of Medical Assistant or LPN experience preferred. 1-3 years of Telemedicine experience is a plus. Some experience with patient intake or medical billing preferred. Experience with Experity preferred, but not required Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and SharePoint. Demonstrated good judgement, initiative, and patient interaction skills. Our centers/telemedicine platform are open (7) days per week 8AM to 8PM. Full-time employees must be able to work three 12-hours shifts per week.
