Portables Lead Assistant 1st shi ft - Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pmOT opportunity on weekends $22.00-$26.00Hr DOE To lead the Non-Standard value stream with expertise and knowledge in the Portables department. Achieve and sustain 100% on-time order closures by aligning all sales and production orders. Support development and improvement of all Non-Standard processes by verifying all procedures and Standard Operating Procedures are up to date and followed. Support plant continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure daily production continuously meets capacity while producing high quality products and meeting safety standards. Direct and train hourly employees in set-up and machine operation, 5S, lean concepts, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, quality requirements, and efficient production of high-pressure composite cylinders in a safe work environment. REQUIREMENTS: The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Drive alignment in closing orders on time for production and sales orders Create daily production schedules for Non-Standard value stream to be followed by all shifts to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Degree desirable but not essential; five years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to sub-contractors and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to use shop mathematics, read blueprints, read and understand charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments (calculators, pie tape, weigh scales, ultrasonic gage, hardness tester, calipers, micrometer, tensiometer.) Other Skills: Familiarity with process involved in producing high-pressure composite cylinders. Completion of inspecting/set up training program. Capable of handling multiple objectives in a high-volume production setting. Computer literate and print reading a must. Reasoning Ability: Requires the use of judgment to plan and make decisions as to sequence of operations, processes and set-ups within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
