Job Overview:The Civil Engineer/Project Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities: Project Design and Planning: Develop and prepare engineering plans, designs, and specifications for various civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, utilities, and site developments.Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate project requirements and constraints.Project Management: Manage and oversee all phases of project lifecycle from initiation to completion.Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.Technical Analysis: Perform detailed engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling to support project designs.Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software to create and modify project drawings and models.Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.Conduct quality control reviews and inspections of ongoing construction work to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.Maintain accurate project records, including design documents, progress reports, and correspondence.Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other engineers, project managers, and team members to achieve project objectives.Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and successful implementation.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.Master?s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred.Experience: 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project design and management.Proven experience in managing and delivering civil engineering projects on time and within budget.Licenses and Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.EIT certification may be considered with commitment to pursue PE licensure.Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations.Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.If you are a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer/Project Engineer looking to take your career to the next level, we encourage you to apply for this position.
