You will work a hybrid schedule with some days in the office and some days working remotely. You will have 2+ years of damage prevention experience or similar industry knowledge. You have proficiency in understanding natural gas distribution construction and safe excavation practices. You possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and are comfortable communicating at all organizational levels. What You Will DoHelps implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the Damage Prevention program. Assist with analyzing, identifying, and implementing technologies and programs to improve legacy and ongoing issues in the Damage Prevention arena.Help with the update of procedures to ensure all federal, state, and company requirements are met and standardized across the organization regarding Damage Prevention.Conduct reviews to advise on the effectiveness of Damage Prevention initiatives and meeting the requirements of CFR 192.614 and company policies and procedures.Work with state and area operations management to help develop enhancements and communicate changes necessary for continuous improvement of excavation activities. Review state-level personnel on responses to underground Damage Prevention notifications received by state regulatory agencies.Collaborate with corporate departments and different third parties to identify excavator audiences and communicate the requirements of excavation activities.Help with Damage Prevention programs including cross bore activity, marker ball technology, problematic excavators and unlocatable lines.Research and report safety rules established by state and federal regulatory agencies about the Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). Maintain relationships with state regulatory agencies and one-call centers.Review and advise on communications related to the Damage Prevention program used within and outside the organization.Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.What You Will NeedPreferred bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and 2 plus years of job-related experience.Knowledge in different phases of distribution, and transmission field operational and administrative responsibilities.Knowledge of piping and construction standards and design; applicable operations standards; and corrosion control processes.Apply math and algebraic formulas and statistics.Demonstrated ability in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.Knowledge and training including: * Interpersonal/communication skills - including leading presentation within industry and community groups. * Transmission/distribution pipeline operations.Working knowledge of identifying, researching, evaluating and prioritizing problems or specific situations and coordinating appropriate action/response.Knowledge researching and preparing policies, procedures, responses and recommendations regarding state, federal and company requirements.Ability to read and interpret DOT regulations, Parts 191 and 192; Pipeline Safety Rules; Customer Service Field Manual; and various other technical documents relative to governmental rules and regulations.Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities concurrently.Experience interacting and communicating effectively.Knowledge of developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.Read and write fluently in English.Minimum Applicable driver's license.
