Location: This job is located at Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, NC. Position Summary: The primary purpose of the Laborer position is to perform a wide variety of general labor tasks to reach project goals and as directed by the position's supervisor. Ability to perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying different types of objects/materials. Perform tasks which may include concrete cutting, joint taping/backer rodding, joint rehab, and crack sealing highways, runways, and parking lots. Ability to use or learn how to use different hand and power tools. Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA. Ability to effectively communicate in, and understand, English. Required to utilize personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses & boots) at appropriate times. Workdays & Shifts: Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends). Willingness to travel for extended periods of time. Education/Certification(s)/License(s): High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred. Valid driver's license - Preferred. Knowledge & Experience: Prior experience as a laborer or equivalent experience - Preferred.. Mechanical aptitude - Preferred. Other Requirements: Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
