You will have 3+ years of formal leadership experience leading teams in a hybrid model and 3+ years of accounting experience. You will have great Excel skills. This is a great position for someone excited about enhancing processes, looking for ways to create efficiencies, and is analytical. A CPA is strongly preferred but not required. This is a hybrid position with some days working remotely and some days in the office.What You Will DoAnalyze accounting policies and procedures to ensure the internal controls are accurately documented and working effectively for regulatory compliance and integrity of financial statements and/or reports.Supervise and/or oversee employees performing related activities.Oversee, direct and/or perform duties related to the preparation of information and reports including but not limited to: General ledger account reconciliations * Journal entries * Cash managementShare based accounting Annual, quarterly and monthly variance analysis and other financial reporting.Provide information and assistance to employees, management, regulatory agencies, auditors, and others relative to classification and/or accounting treatment of taxes, revenues, expenses, policies, and procedures.Review, analyze, interpret and/or monitor information and reports including but not limited to: * Financial statements * Financial reportingGovernment reports SEC/IRS/FASB guidance Policies and procedures revisions and recommendations.Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.What You Will NeedMinimum Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration, or other related field.Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including using computer applications such as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.Application of math, algebra and basic statistics.Experience with and/or training related to: * Financial Accounting * Financial Reporting * FERC Account Classification * Accounting principles * General Ledger Systems (FRS)Supervisory skills Interpersonal/communication skillsExperience researching, analyzing, and preparing information including reconciliations, general ledger reports and other financial reporting.Experience interacting, directing, delegating and/or communicating effectively.Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.Minimum Applicable driver's license.Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and to other work locations.Communicate and/or exchange information in writing and verbally; conduct oral presentations.Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.Diversity at ONE GasInclusion & Diversity is so important to us that we made it one of our core values, values that guide and direct our actions as we go about our daily business.
