Visiting Assistant Professor in Philosophy Fall 2024 Dominican University invites applications for the position of a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor in Philosophy for the 2024-25 academic year, with the possibility of renewal. This role requires teaching a total of eight undergraduate courses (four in the fall semester and four in the spring semester). Areas of Specialization and Competence are open, and a Ph.D. by the time of employment is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a generalist able to teach a variety of courses, including introduction to philosophy and critical thinking. Experience in teaching introductory courses and evidence of teaching excellence are required, and familiarity with alternative epistemology is preferred.We are committed to fostering a diverse educational environment and encourage applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply.
