OVERVIEW Our client, a litigation firm is seeking Associate Attorneys. Ideal candidates should desire to be a trial advocate with strong oral and written communication skills, ability to provide thorough legal analysis, while desiring to work in a flexible and collegial environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO Assist senior attorneys in preparing legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requestsConduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing casesDraft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelAttend client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as neededHelp with case management tasks including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlinesReview and summarize deposition transcripts, witness statements, and other evidenceCollaborate with other members of the legal team to develop case strategy and tacticsStay updated on developments in relevant areas of law and legal proceduresPerform administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and maintaining client records QUALIFICATIONS 0-4 years' experience.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolNevada Admission to the state bar (or eligibility to sit for the bar exam)Strong academic record, including relevant coursework in litigation, civil procedure, and legal writing a PLUSExcellent research skills, including proficiency in using legal research databases such as LexisNexis or WestlawStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsPrior internships or work experience in a legal setting PLUSFamiliarity with relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office and legal case management softwareWillingness to learn and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced litigation practice Recent graduates who passed the July Nevada Bar as well as recent February 2024 examinees are encouraged to apply.
