We want to execute winning strategies to ensure we are providing WOW customer service in a safe and effective manner. Job Responsibilities: Help identify and sort through various kinds of metal including aluminum, copper, tin, stainless steel and many others Will load scrap material into processing equipment using forklifts and skid-loaders May help load bales of scrap metal onto trucks for shipping Will operate material processing equipment that could include the baler or copper chopper Cleaning of the workplace also required so at times may have to pick up a broom and sweep Keep accurate documentation of material Other job duties as assigned by supervisor Minimum Job Qualifications: 1-2 years of forklift operating experience, preferably with sit-down forklifts 1-2 years production equipment operating experience Heavy equipment operating experience such as a skid-steer a plus! Problem solving skills and stellar organizational skills Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in the weather elements Must have a strong record of working safely and efficiently Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Employee Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Voluntary Life/AD&D Medical Savings Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays 401k w/ Metro matching up to 4% (employees eligible after 1 year of employment) $500 Employee Retention Bonus $500 Employee Referral Bonus Safety Incentives Employee Assistance Program
