compensation: $8.00 per hour plus tips employment type: part-time Brother John's Beer, Bourbon & BBQ is seeking highly motivated food service professionals to help provide genuine and friendly service that is responsive to all of your guests' needs resulting in an exceptional dining experience. Each server's primary objective is to meet the needs of our guests - not only in their section but throughout the entire restaurant. Essential job functions include: * Welcoming and greeting guests* Making all our guests feel comfortable while providing personal service by guiding them through our menus to enhance their guest experience by offering and describing menu items in an inviting way* Owning and resolving all guest requests or concerns immediatelyServers will be expected to follow responsible alcohol service standards to ensure guest safetyRequirements include:Must have the ability to learn Brother John's menu in order to answer guests' questions and make suggestions Must have knowledge of alcoholic service laws and standards and complete Arizona Title 4 Certification Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money in order to quickly and accurately make change for the guests and to accurately perform cash out at the end of the shift Must be able to operate a point-of-sale system Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 30 pounds Be able to bend and reach as necessary during the shifted are able to work in hot and cold environments. Must possess competent reasoning skills including; the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to other employees, customers and managers; the ability to read and/or follow written and verbal instructions and implement at the same; the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; the ability to understand policies and procedures and to follow them.
