Job Title: Logistics Coordinator, Level I Reports To: Logistics Manager Job Summary: Performs various logistics coordination functions such as preparing shipping documents and coordinating with forwarders to ensure that orders are shipped in a timely manner. Job Requirements: Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with inside and outside customers. General understanding of accounting functions regarding reconciling statements and following up with Accounts Payable on invoice payments. General understanding of domestic shipping such as Fed Ex and UPS label generation as well as generating packing lists. Experience in International Transportation General understanding of engineering drawings and ability to work with engineers to understand and coordinate freight movements Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills Experience in working with the HTSUS and CFR 19. Experience with pricing negotiations with Freight Forwarders, Truckers and other Vendors. Working knowledge and Experience using IncoTerms 2010 Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years international logistics and/or Trade Compliance experience. Strong PC Skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Access. Demonstrates courteous and professional attitude High school diploma What will put you ahead: Previous experience and/or dealings with US Customs (CBP) or Mexican Customs (SAT) Previous International Logistics experience. Working Knowledge of systems such as Kwik-Tag, MS Solomon/Dynamics and MS Access Familiarity with product documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, MTR (Material Test Reports), COC (Certificates of Conformance). Physical Requirements: Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate a Computer, telephone and other office equipment.
