Description:
Functional Job Duties: Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure. Understand tolerances for parts. Ability to understand why machines are not a peak performance and how to increase output. Accuracy with alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements. Perform spot inspections of parts. Interpretations blueprints and bills of materials. Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum, and regular steel). Responsible for the forming of metal products as specified by layout, blueprints, or written instructions using plate rolling equipment. Operates a rolling machine used to bend metal plates adhering to specific blueprints, templates, and their knowledge in geometry. Responsible for the rolling of material as part of the overall manufacturing process. Adjust equipment settings according to different material and how they take pressures. Operates cranes to load, unload, and position materials in equipment. Performs hand grinding to prepare materials when needed. Performs tack welding on products when required. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting operations brake/roll press. Prior fabrication experience Mental Requirements: Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company. Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements. Must be able to work under stress. Must be able to handle multiple priorities. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/be on your feet for long periods of time. Must be able to lift/maneuver 70lbs, unassisted. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and sit. Must have flexibility and wide range of motion. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to do unaccompanied travel. Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
