Summary/objective Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe environment. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Assist in shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards Open bales, crates, and other containers Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust, and take out trash. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times Wear the proper safety equipment and clothing: Jeans and Steel toe shoes Competencies Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills Dependable and reliable - Be on time Work environment Warehouse, dirt, rain & snow Physical demands Learn process of the warehouse Regularly lift and/or move objects 30-50lbs Work as a team Overtime when needed Self Starter Complete projects as assigned Required education and experience High school diploma or GED Additional eligibility requirements Authorized to work in the US.
