RN DIABETIC NURSE A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTERED NURSE DIABETIC NURSE As a full-time RN Diabetic Nurse, you play a critical role in the provision and coordination of care for our home health care agency and the facilities. You are responsible for preventing adverse events from happening as well as optimizing our health service productivity and patient outcomes. Keeping our organization's mission, vision, and values at the forefront of your mind, you facilitate the delivery of top-quality, patient-centered care while going through your daily tasks. Your tasks fluctuate based on your specific client caseload and schedule. Primarily, you provide direct patient care to acute and chronically ill patients in the comfort of their assisted living facility. In addition, you validate patient assessments through explicit documentation. Helping your patients maintain their personal autonomy is one of your top priorities, and you assist them with managing their own time and learning how to adapt to new situations. You are also diligent about using your critical thinking skills to ensure your patient's safety needs are met, and they always feel comfortable around you. Nothing is more important to you than upholding high standards of care by providing your patients with passionate and outstanding service. You enjoy serving in such an important role with our home health care facility, which is why you thrive in this nursing position! You will be responsible for the coordination of care between the facility, nursing, and adjunct staff caring for the patients in the facilities. You will be responsible for management, education, and auditing of diabetic patients to maintain compliance with home health best practice standards. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REGISTERED NURSE DIABETIC NURSE Current RN license Emotional intelligence and the ability to show compassion and empathy toward others. Ability to overcome challenges and defuse conflict. Diabetic knowledge base preferred but not required. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Can you remain calm in stressful situations? Are you able to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor? Can you effectively balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management?
